O'LEU - Tack Collar Small

The Tack Collar is used to hold free flying headsails, asymmetric spinnakers and gennakers (cruising chutes), on the centre line of the yacht by the bow and prevent the tack from flying off to the lee making the sail more stable.

It is particularly useful on monohulls where the pulpit forms a complete enclosure of the bow where the tack strop is likely to bend over the pulpit if fed inside or, if led through the rail, catch on other fittings; e.g. navigation light.

The small Tack Collar is suitable for sails up to 60 sqm.
